Bio: Dr. Andrew Torget, an Assistant Professor of History at UNT, studies the expansion of the American South into the West and develops new digital methods for research, scholarship, and teaching. He was a co-PI on the NEH-funded “Mapping Texts: Visualizing American Historical Newspapers,” developer of the Texas Slavery Project, and the founding director for the Digital Scholarship Lab at the University of Richmond.
